It's been a mad four years!

But what's next?!

That's always the question on my mind, I find! What's next?! When you think about it, that's a very sensible question for a voice actor - or any 'freelance' worker - to have on their mind at any one time. When is the next gig? What is the next gig? Can I even get a next gig?

But even in a non-professional sense, I ask this question of myself a lot. You see, I am an [undiagnosed and unmedicated] ADHD Baby. My mind is given to all the lovely nonsense that neurodiverse condition entails. However it also means - whether because of that ADHD or just my own natural restlessness - that I am always looking to the next thing. The next challenge, the next adventure, the next idea, the next story. I have an extremely hard time just sitting down and being still; unless, of course, I am tired and / or exhausted. Then I don't really have a choice.

Has this made it difficult for me to pursue my career? Of course it has. I am forever bemoaning my horrifically short attention span, or my tendency to neglect things (*cough* this website *cough*) but I will admit, it makes for a hell of a ride. And when I do eventually come back to those things I have neglected, it's often with fresh eyes, more experience or even simple nostalgia for the things I've done before.

I like to think everyone has some sense of their personal 'good old days'. I certainly do. But as I sit here, once again turning my eye to this blog and making note of all the areas of this website that are direly in need of updates, I take a moment to look back at how far I've come since i first began in the world of Audiobooks and Voice Acting and I realize, I've made a little more progress than I thought.

As for what's going on right now? Exciting stuff! I'm thrilled to announce that work on the revised editions of Conquerors of K'Tara books 1 (Forebodings) and 2 (First Eruption) is steaming along, with Forebodings nearly ready to be re-released. Book 3 (Second Eruption) is nearly ready for recording courtesy of the incredibly talented L A Di Paolo, and I am, as ever, recording new videos every month for the Trek Central team. Yet more books are also on the horizon, so I certainly have a lot to keep me busy and (hopefully) you all entertained!

So, then, thank you for sticking with me on this journey. I hope there will be plenty of tales yet to tell.

Until next time!

Adam

Welcome to my blog!

And the Lord spake saying, "Adam, stop what you're doing, and build me an Ark." To which I responded, in my best Sean Connery accent,...
